Although the site is relatively small right now, it is still a work in progress.
Let me ask you - seeing the photographs on the main page, would you or would you not have liked to have visited some or all of these places? To be able to stroll through the buildings, to place a hand against a wall and FEEL the history of your parents and grandparents? To not only see how it was put together, but to gain insight into their methods, and to some small degree their lives?
In my short life to date, just in my area, I have witnessed the destruction of many things, simply because of greed or personal agenda. The old High School building, which was in sound structural condition, torn down on a whim. Almost all the historical building at the fair grounds, ripped down and replaced with "cookie cutter" steel sheds. The old Mueller's Garage building (which I managed to tour, and the interior was extraordinary ) demolished to make way for yet another parking lot.
Back in the age of our grandparents, they built things to last for as long as possible - we cannot say the same for most modern things. :(
